Privacy policy

Effective date: August 2026 · Applies to the Roundhouse public website and waitlist

Roundhouse is in private beta. This site exists to explain the product and to let you join a waitlist. This policy describes, in plain language, what we collect through the site, why, and what we do — and don’t do — with it.

What we collect

Waitlist signups

When you join the waitlist we collect what you type into the form: your email address, and optionally your name, company or organization, and free-text notes about your workloads or hardware. If you sign up with Google instead, Google shares your basic profile with us — your email address, your name, and an account identifier — and nothing more.

Operational basics

Like nearly every website, our servers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses and requested pages) to keep the site working and to limit abuse — for example, rate-limiting signup attempts. The site sets the cookies needed to operate: a security (CSRF) cookie for forms and a session cookie when you sign in to the app.

What we use it for

  • Managing the waitlist and sending you a confirmation email when you join.
  • Sending occasional updates about Roundhouse and, when capacity opens up, an invitation to the beta.
  • Understanding, from what you chose to tell us, what kinds of workloads and hardware to plan for.

That’s the list. We only email you about Roundhouse, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

What we don’t do

  • No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies from ad networks, no pixels.
  • We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their marketing.
  • We don’t email you about anything other than Roundhouse.

Third parties we rely on

We use service providers to run the site and deliver email (hosting and email-delivery infrastructure), and Google to power the optional “sign up with Google” button. These providers process data on our behalf to provide their service to us — not for their own marketing. If you use the Google button, Google’s own privacy policy also applies to your use of Google’s service.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information while your entry is active — that is, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist itself is retired. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you immediately.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe: use the link in any email we send, any time.
  • Access or deletion: email us and we’ll show you what we hold about you or delete it.
  • Questions: we answer privacy questions directly, from a human.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters — for example, when the product launches beyond the beta — we’ll update this page and its effective date. We won’t quietly repurpose data you gave us under this policy.
